Dr. Joshua Barrett is an Assistant Professor of Business at Memorial University of Newfoundland and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Prince Edward Island. He previously served as Team Lead, Environmental Services at Stantec, supporting environmental assessment and permitting across Newfoundland and Labrador. Josh has proudly served as Councillor At-Large for Conception Bay South since 2021, where he has worked to promote smart growth, environmental stewardship, and quality municipal services. In 2023, he was appointed President of the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation, advancing sustainable rural development across Canada. His work centers on innovative strategies for rural and green economic growth.
