As parents, we want the best for our children. We work hard to give them the best life we can. We nurture them, provide them opportunity to learn and grow, give them a chance to fall and catch them when they do.
We want our children, our families – young and old – to be supported; have access to outdoor spaces and indoor facilities, enroll in great schools to grow, and feel an overall sense of safety in their community. We want to live somewhere to give them the quality of life they deserve. My family found that place in Conception Bay South.
In 2017, we elected nine passionate individuals eager to make a positive difference in our community. Close to half of these people are retired, with many others eligible to retire within the next five to ten years. I didn’t see anyone that looked like me sitting around the table.
I’m running for council because I want the best for my toddler, Layla. I’m running because of the sense of urgency I have in improving the quality of life in our community for years to come. I’m running because the greatest asset in our community is our people, and we all deserve a council that makes strategic investments to allow us to live, work, and play in this town we call home – Conception Bay South.
